Guidance Overview
Documentation
The information provided here is primarily made up of articles and links to other online guides that will help you better understand how TeamFolio can work for your organisation. This guidance is for people using the system as well as for those configuring the different features available in TeamFolio.
A subset of the documentation will also be useful for any organisation considering the adoption of TeamFolio to improve how they can harness existing skills and expertise across the team.
Topic Organisation & Navigation
The way we organise the articles and links will likely change as we develop new features in TeamFolio. You can see the current topic sections and articles on the left. This navigation is available on all pages.
You can also find content you’re currently interested in by using the search box above. Once you’ve found an article to read, you can jump to different headings in the article by clicking on the Table of Contents area on the right hand side of every article page.
You'll also see links to any subsequent or previous articles that may exist in the current topic section. As this is the first article in the 'Guidance Overview’ topic section, you’ll only see a ‘Next Article’ at the bottom of this page.
Use of screenshots & imagery
Screenshots of the TeamFolio user interface and other related technologies like Microsoft Azure are used to illustrate what's being described in the text. The screenshots may show a full or partial view of the user interface and may be annotated. Where annotated, relevant notes will follow the image:
- Explanation of numbered item 1 in the image above
- Explanation of numbered item 2 in the image above :::
Demonstration persona characters
To help demonstrate, guide and train people in the use of TeamFolio, we have created a number of fictional people, referred to as 'personas', who work in a fictional organisation. You can see three example personas in the screenshot above. These personas are not intended to represent any real people and the profile photos used for each persona are stock images licensed to FidraSoft for demonstration and documentation purposes.
Additional Resources
As well as the articles contained here, there are also additional resources about TeamFolio we and our Partners are making available.
Product Website
If you're reading this, you're no doubt already aware that general product information can be found by visiting the TeamFolio product website here. You can also click the link that is always available in the top right corner of this documentation site to go back to the product site.
Video Guides
Some video guides already exist on the DiscoverMe YouTube channel. You will find links to play lists and individual videos within the articles and also in the navigation on the left.
There are also links here to play lists and individual videos on the TeamFolio YouTube channel. As with the documentation, we are continually updating the videos available on YouTube. There will be a new TeamFolio YouTube channel that will contain new videos going forward.
We’ll add links to future videos here but the best way to keep up to date with new videos will be to subscribe to the TeamFolio YouTube channel. If you subscribe on YouTube, you can also choose to receive notifications when we create new videos.
Release Notes
We aim to keep the content here as up to date as possible as we develop new capabilities in TeamFolio. The first sections to be updated are the Release Notes which contain brief, bullet point lists of key features and bug fixes included in each update we release. As you can see in the navigation to the left, the individual release notes are labelled with the TeamFolio release version number.
Next Steps
The articles in this TeamFolio Overview section will take you through the main concepts we use when building the features you’ll use. Understanding these building blocks should help you when using or configuring the software.
Click on the ‘Next Article’ below to learn about the concepts we work with in TeamFolio, or you can of course just browse or search the knowledge base as you wish.
We hope you find this content useful!
